**The Role**
Aviation C4ISREW & Training Support Systems (ACTSS) is seeking a Procurement Manager to work as part of a highly motivated team to deliver complex procurement and contracting solutions within an integrated workforce, with the focus on procurement. In this role, they are accountable to ensure they conduct procurement that is compliant with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Conduct procurement activities in support of ACTSS Capability support requirements and manage those activities to meet deadlines within the stated financial terms.
- Coordinate and provide procurement policy advice, assistance, products and services to facilitate risk management, ethics and probity.
- Engage and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders relating to the Commonwealth Procurement Framework to manage procurement risks and achieve value for money.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and actively participate in team work and group activities to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Take the initiative to identify impacts of changes to relevant Commonwealth procurement policies and recommend potential improvements to procurement practices.
- Interpret, recommend and provide advice and assistance on procurement policy and identify alternative courses of action where appropriate.
**About our Team**
The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.
