**The Role**
This position is part of a geographically dispersed team, operating within an integrated workforce.
Within the Directorate of Information, Graphics & eResources you will provide procurement and contract management skills for the evaluation, procurement and maintenance of the Defence Library eResources multi-million dollar annual budget providing Online Library Resources across Defence.
Duties will include:
- Deliver and maintain accurate procurement and contract management documentation.
- Ongoing engagement with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
- Ensure all work is achieved under appropriate legislative and policy obligations, including risk and performance requirements.
- Lead or be part of Project teams as assigned.
- Other duties as required consistent with standard APS 6 roles and responsibilities.
The position requires knowledge of and compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks, government decision making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. This includes the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and Accountable Authority Instructions.

The Directorate of Information, Graphics and e-Resources (DIGE), within the Program Management & Governance (PM&G) branch is at the forefront of shaping the way Defence’s Estate information is managed, distributed and displayed.

The eResources Manager, DIGE is responsible (in collaboration and consultation with the other APS 6 eResources Manager and the APS 6 Systems Librarian) for the management and maintenance of electronic resources within the Australian Department of Defence.
You will have experience, ideally within a Defence or Government environment, in the evaluation, procurement, and contract management of electronic resources.
You will display initiative, good judgement and a positive, collaborative approach and provide detailed advice, issues management, and technical, professional and policy advice in relation to procurement and contract management.
You will be solutions focused, can ‘think on your feet’ and manage multiple and competing priorities in a calm and logical manner.
You will be adaptable and willing to work as part of a nationally distributed team, and with remote customer groups.
You will be self-motivated, and committed to professional development and business process improvement.
