As the Manufacturing Leading Hand your primary focus is to coordinate and lead activities of the production team to ensure the continuous and efficient running of the shift. Strong organizational skills, succinct communication and leadership skills are required whilst ensuring a safe and “operational excellence” environment.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Act as Manufacturing Manager 2IC, coordinate and lead Manufacturing Team under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager;
- Manage site safety plan objectives and targets;
- Support the business in relation to safety & quality standards & compliance across the Plastics site;
- Participate in the reporting and reviewing of incidents as required;
- e.g. hazards & non-conformances
- Promote continued improvement of the quality and safety culture;
- Conduct Plastics site inductions, ensuring safety competency (incl. contractor management);
- Support site safety committee and relevant safety and quality projects;
- Maintain safety and quality registers; and
- e.g. safety risk, calibration etc.
- Manage site emergency processes and procedures

**To be successful in this position you will have**:

- Front Line Leadership skills and experience;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft tools;
- Ability to learn and develop into a future Site Operations Supervisory role;
- Proven experience supporting and contributing to safety and quality compliance systems;
- Track record of implementing safety and quality practices e.g. identification of compliance gaps, developing action plans and training;
- Builds and leverages influential relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver results; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.
