
Communications Design Lead

**About the role**
The role of the Communications Design Lead to lead the development of engineering designs and associated activities as requested by the Head of Engineering - Communications such as systems assurance, risk management, competency management and requirement management.
- Requirements management including verification & validation of design outputs
- Implement effective interface management processes and reviews
- Assist the team with implementing and maintaining design management procedures for all projects from planning right through to completion and handover
- Design and delivery of radio and/or fixed communications systems
- Support Tenders with reference designs and budgets
**About You**
- At least 10 years’ experience in the design and implementation of wireless and fixed telecommunications systems
- Experience in Radio System Designs, preferable experience with PMR, Mobile Systems or Broad Casting Systems.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Must have an Australian Driver Licence
- Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment.
