For more than 65 years, Guide Dogs SA/NT has enabled a lifetime of independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people with low vision or blindness, children with autism and their families. Reporting to and working closely with the GM Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, the Fundraising Manager is responsible for creating long term value for Guide Dogs SA/NT through understanding markets, deploying effective donor acquisition strategies, developing valuable networks and building strong internal and external relationships to ensure sustainability and increased engagement amongst supporters.
The Fundraising Manager leads a dedicated team of specialists across all segments of fundraising activity and works closely with the Marketing & Communications and Business Development teams, and the broader Senior Leadership Team to identify viable opportunities, develop fundraising frameworks and set measurable objectives while supporting the development of team members to build capability and succession.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- developing and implementing operational plans and budgets for all allocated fundraising streams;
- developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships across corporate, community, government and non-government arenas;
- leading and managing team operations and performance, systems, policies and procedures that drive effective operations and achieve team objectives;
- representing Guide Dogs SA/NT at the national level on specific initiatives and contributing to national project teams.
Applications are encouraged from tertiary qualified professionals with demonstrated experience in relationship management and business development. Experience in fundraising and supporter engagement strategies will be well regarded. High level interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach, strong outcomes focus, sound business and commercial acumen, as well as strong people leadership skills will be important for success in this highly satisfying role.
