In the role of Principal Advisor (Workforce) you will operate under the key account management framework to:
- Provide high level specialist HR/IR advice to key customer accounts.
- Advise on and support the implementation of strategies to enhance leadership, technical expertise and business management capability.
- Lead, develop, mentor and provide direction to other members of the Workforce Team.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Lead and manage investigations and reviews into a range of complex and sensitive employee relations issues and develop, negotiate and implement appropriate strategies for timely resolution.
- Prepare correspondence, including briefing materials and reports, for the Minister, Director-General, the RoadTek Leadership Team and other senior staff on issues as they pertain to workforce relations.
- Provide support as required at various tribunals, including (but not limited to) the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
- Contribute to team leadership by supporting the Manager (Workforce & Stakeholder Relations), in a range of business activities such as process improvement, performance management and coaching of staff.
- Write and/or review complex reports, briefing notes, submissions and where required verbal briefings and presentations to senior management groups.
- Advise and support the implementation of achievement planning, performance review processes and management systems within the customer groups.
- Develop, maintain and foster strong relationships and partnerships with internal clients and external stakeholders and providers.
**Desirable requirements**:
- A background in human resource management or organisational development will be highly regarded.
