**What you’ll be doing**:
The Manager Application Development leads a high-performing agile team to deliver and evolve digital products that support frontline fire and emergency services across NSW. This role drives strategic product vision, fosters user-centred design, and ensures secure, fit-for-purpose software aligned with operational needs.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital tools that support our frontline volunteers and staff. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing agile team, drive product innovation, and deliver operational software that enhances emergency preparedness and response across NSW. We’re looking for a strategic and technically skilled leader with a strong background in software development, agile delivery, and user-centred design.

**To thrive in this role, you will have**:

- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive iterative delivery of digital products.
- Skill in aligning software development with operational needs and long-term organisational goals.
- Experience with modern tech stacks including AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Proven ability to attract, mentor, and retain digital talent in a purpose-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work across internal teams and external agencies effectively.
