Based at our Head Office in Braeside, Melbourne, you will lead our digital marketing strategy, drive brand engagement, and execute impactful campaigns that position Oceansouth at the forefront of the boating and outdoor recreation industry.
**Role Overview**:
As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our international marketing strategy, with a strong focus on growing our digital presence in Oceansouth USA. From managing social media platforms to creating engaging content and running paid campaigns across global markets, you will drive brand awareness and engagement. You’ll also oversee our Bazaarvoice platform to centralize user-generated content (UGC) and ensure consistency across all regions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Digital Marketing strategy and Social Media Management**
- Execute our international digital marketing strategy, with a key focus on the USA.
- Manage and schedule content across Facebook, Instagram and emerging platforms for all international regions.
- Source, curate and manage user-generated content (UGC) via Bazaarvoice to enhance brand credibility and engagement.
- Identify and collaborate with influencers across multiple platforms to promote Oceansouth products globally.
**Paid Advertising & Campaign Management**
- Plan, execute and optimise targeted campaigns using Meta Business Suite (Facebook/Instagram paid ads) and other advertising platforms tailored to market trends and consumer behaviour.
- Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance to maximize ROI for each region and inform strategy.
**Content Creation & Communications**
- Create and develop compelling, engaging, on-brand content for diverse global audiences.
- Plan, create, and distribute weekly newsletters via Mailchimp.
- Partner closely with design teams to ensure visually appealing and effective content for diverse markets.
**Video & YouTube Management**
- Oversee and grow our YouTube channel with fresh, engaging content.
- Monitoring engagement and align video content with broader marketing strategies.
**Analytics & Performance Metrics**
- Define and monitor KPI’s for marketing initiatives
- Use data driven insights to identify opportunities for improvements and to optimise campaigns and content strategies
**What We’re Looking For**
- **Minimum 2-3 years of experience** in social media, digital marketing, and content creation with proven expertise in managing campaigns.
- Degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications or a related field is desirable. Strong international marketing experience, particularly in the USA market.
- Experience with UGC platforms and specific familiarity with Bazaarvoice is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, social media scheduling and marketing analytics tools.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and a talent for creating compelling content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Data driven mindset and Strong analytical skills to track, measure and optimise marketing performance.
- A proactive, self starter approach and exceptional organisational abilities.
- Passion for the marine industry or a willingness to dive in and learn.
- Knowledge of the boating or outdoor recreation demographic is advantageous but not essential.
