**About the role**
***Fixed term position until 30th September 2025 - possibility for extension**

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader (afternoon shift) at our West Footscray plant. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, and with a team of permanent and contractor Manufacturing Operators, you’ll:

- Ensure that your team are rostered and allocated to lines appropriately and that materials are available to meet the daily / weekly production plan, ensuring quality requirements are met to customer and regulatory standards
- Ensure finished product across all lines are made to correct quantity and quality specification (retail and industrial lines)
- Deliver safety alerts to the team, conduct monthly safety meetings and report and action safety issues
- Develop and maintain a strong team culture in terms of safety, quality, collaboration and continuous improvement
- Coach, develop and engage team members including through regular feedback mechanisms, day-to-day interpretation of our enterprise agreement
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with site maintenance, engineering, planning, safety teams and your peers.

**About your experience**
- Hours are 2.30pm - 11.00pm - Monday to Friday
- Solid understanding of how automated / manual equipment and production lines work
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and take corrective action on a range of issues affecting production
- Ability to cultivate a team culture that encourages strong continuous improvement, safety and quality standards
- Bonus: exposure to Lean manufacturing principles and / or enterprise agreements.
