**Job Description**:
Elastomers Australia are seeking an experienced and hands on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manager with a background in the Manufacturing Industry to join our team. The role is based in Airport West but would involve travel to other Manufacturing plants based in Tullamarine, Thomastown and Sunshine. Reporting to the Business Risk and Compliance Manager, this role will act as a business partner to all stakeholders to provide health and safety mentoring and support and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. This role will also focus on developing, maintaining and implementing Health and Safety initiatives, policies and procedures, as well as working closely with the Training / HR team to ensure training is up to date.
Duties
- Reviewing all activities undertaken in the factories
- Ensure relevant Working Instructions and Standard Operating procedures are implemented
- Ensure risk assessments are completed and documented
- Ensure housekeeping is reviewed, identified and documented
- Ensure implementation of any action items from audits and toolbox / pre-start meetings are completed
- Working closely with the HR / Training team to ensure training registers are completed and maintained
- Ensure any relevant registers are completed and maintained in the factories
- Conduct investigations of safety breaches as well incident investigations
- Deliver OH&S training
- Implement and monitor OH&S rules and guidelines to ensure compliance with the legislation

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a similar type role in a SME business
- Minimum Certificate 4 in OH&S or similar tertiary qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to communicate and develop rapport with all relevant stakeholders both internal and external
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- Ability to multitask and operate with a high degree of autonomy
