Medical Claims Team Leader

**About the Role**
As Team Leader, you are responsible for the Medical Claims team achieving their objectives of processing a high volume of claims. You will also manage the development of the team.
Balancing productivity and meeting service SLA’s are critical to this role.

**About the Role**
As Medical Team Leader you will manage a team of claims assessors, building a culture of service excellence ensuring the team exceed service SLA's.
You will provide direction, empower and motivate the team in order to achieve businesses unit, team and individual goals.
- Monitor team and individual productivity through daily and monthly reporting
- Manage and adjust team resources to meet KPI’s and SLA’s
- Staff performance (KPI’s) are reviewed on a monthly basis and appropriate feedback given in monthly 1:1’s
- Regular communication with staff which includes daily huddles and monthly communication meetings with documented agendas and minutes
- Effective people management which includes recruiting, on boarding, coaching, developing and mentoring team members
- Manage team attendance and ensure all leave is submitted and approved in PRECEDA as outlined in HR guidelines
- Ensure individual and team milestones are acknowledged and recognised and high / exceptional performance is rewarded
- Teamwork and co-operation amongst team members is encouraged
- Multi-skilling of staff is encouraged and utilised across teams to meet SLA’s
- Assess and review claims in accordance with Fund Rules eliminating overpayments/unnecessary rejections
**About your experience**
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the below experience
- Excellent people management skills
- Sound knowledge of all automated and claims systems including ACMEII, WHICS, ECLIPSE, PreMac, MPPA, HPP/PA, Medicover
- Strong customer service focus
- Proven ability to perform in a similar role
- Ability to demonstrate the understanding of HCF policies and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure and lead by example
- Collaborative approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt positively to frequently changing work practices and needs
- Desire to learn and develop others
- Sound organisational skills and ability to perform required tasks on a timely basis with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated commitment to service quality
- Professional presentation and manner
