Your opportunity:
Our rapidly growing Digital & Information Group is expanding, and our newly established Digital Transformation team are seeking a dynamic Digital Investment Specialist with expertise in business case writing, investment modelling, and benefits analysis to shape digital transformation initiatives with long-term economic impacts for the community.

The Digital & Information group is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking organisation that is driving digital transformation and enhancing service delivery for our customers, community, and people.

Role responsibilities;- Develop comprehensive business cases to shape digital transformation initiatives.- Conduct investment modelling, risk assessments, and long-term economic impact analysis.-
- Develop program costings, benefits analysis, and evaluate change feasibility.- Utilise economic modelling techniques to evaluate the impact of digital change.- Perform risk assessments related to digital investments and transformation projects.- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to define business needs, requirements and align investment initiatives with business objectives.- Provide expert guidance on business architecture and process management in digital initiatives.- Ensure compliance with Australian Privacy Legislation and security regulations, including SOCI.- Facilitate workshops to drive stakeholder engagement and strategic alignment.

About you:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.- Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSEC, ITIL, Microsoft Foundations) are highly advantageous.- Strong expertise in Business Case Writing, Investment Planning, Economic Modelling, and Business Analysis.- Proficiency in Investment Logic Mapping, Benefit Quantification, and Risk Assessment.- Knowledge of Business Architecture, Digital Architecture (Enterprise, Solution, Data), and Service Design.- Familiarity with APQC, SOCI, and Australian Privacy Legislation & Regulations for PII.- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.- Strategic, customer-centric mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.- Demonstrated integrity, authenticity, and respect for diverse perspectives.- Adaptability to change with strong planning, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.- Security clearance/SOCI requirements may apply, depending on the role and responsibilities.
