Equity Waterproofing is a leading consultancy firm with over 25 years of hands-on industry experience, providing specialist services in waterproofing design compliance, material compliance, testing, and defect analysis across Class 2, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
We’re expanding our team and seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to support our growing portfolio across NSW. If you’re passionate about technical quality, enjoy working on-site, and want to be part of a supportive team that values expertise, we’d love to hear from you.
**The Role: Waterproofing Compliance & Testing Technician**
As a key member of our field operations, you’ll carry out compliance inspections, testing, and site reviews to ensure waterproofing works meet the NCC, Australian Standards, and project-specific specifications. You’ll interact directly with builders, site managers, and contractors, supporting projects from design through to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct site inspections during installation phases for waterproofing systems
- Perform membrane thickness testing, adhesion tests, flood tests, and ELD/holiday testing
- Identify defects and non-compliances and provide rectification advice
- Prepare clear, structured reports with supporting photographic documentation
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants professionally
- Maintain digital records and use inspection platforms (e.g. Dashpivot, SiteDocs)
- Contribute to a high-performing team focused on service quality and innovation
**Who We’re Looking For**
We’re seeking a **trustworthy, hands-on professional** who takes pride in detailed work and can operate both independently and within a team. Strong communication skills and technical awareness are essential.
**Preferred Skills & Experience (Training Provided Where Needed)**
- Experience with sheet membranes, liquid membranes, or admixture systems
- Familiarity with AS 4654.2, AS 3740, AS/NZS 4858, and NCC 2022 (Volumes 1 & 2)
- Basic reporting skills using Word/Excel or job management software
- White Card and full driver’s licence
- Cert III in Waterproofing or prior construction site experience (advantageous but not essential)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term, Subcontract
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
