As a result of our ongoing operations, we are currently looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Sydney, NSW.

**Main tasks**
- Prepare sketches, designs, detailed drawings, and installation manuals for civil engineering works such as waterproofing and flooring systems of industrial, commercial, and residential buildings;
- Work continuously on a library of standard installation details and to prepare project specific installation details utilising computational tools, such as AutoCad;
- Prepare material samples for product comparison and for testing to ensure compliance to current and relevant Australian Standard;
- Prepare and review technical documentation such as product specifications, maintenance and technical responses, and product data sheets;
- Interact with architects and project managers to ensure that the right materials, components and systems are being specified for every aspect of the construction, taking into account the uniqueness of every project including its budget, usage, lifetime expectancy and environmental impact;
- Provide technical information and recommendation to customers including, but not limited to site visits and inspections to ensure that materials and systems are being installed following the current and relevant Australia Standard and following the instructions and specifications provided;
- Estimate material quantities and system costs considering the individuality of each project and their respective building requirements.

**Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience**
- Engineering Diploma or higher, plus minimum 2 years’ work experience.

**Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge**
- Drafting experience in civil;
- Interpret engineering drawings + computations;
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self motivated.

Annual salary will be between $75,000 - $95,000 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
