My Client is a well-known, ASX listed company. They are recruiting a Payroll team lead, responsible for administering and maintain the weekly and monthly payroll ensuring the function operates in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Training and upskilling the team
- Manage and motivate the team of 10 including coaching and development of
- Recruitment of team on both temporary and permanent capacity
- Streamline the current payroll processes and procedures
- Perform quality control audits to ensure accuracy
- Escalation point for employee/manager queries
- Efficient payroll processing and superannuation payments using Preceda
- Efficient payroll processing including superannuation payments
- An understanding of relevant legislation / EBA and award interpretation
- Third party payments including child support
- Reporting
- Coordination of activities across the payroll function to ensure consistency
- Ensure payroll function is operating on a timely, efficient basis through planning and scheduling of tasks to ensure external deadlines are met
- Coordinate process improvements within own area to ensure duplications are minimised and demands on systems and / or resources is reduced
- Contributing to the sharing of knowledge and information within the payroll team and with internal clients
- Review all Redundancy and termination payments
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Payroll, at least three form a senior/team lead/2IC capacity
- Experience working across multiple sites/agreements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Labour law is an asset
- Problem solving skills
