The opportunity is here to join a national retail chain who is privately owned and totally focused on providing all Australians with vast array of homewares, arts, crafts, and party products and if you can’t find it here - you can’t find it

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be part of this well-known brand and an amazing group of people, who enjoy providing the customer a professional shopping experience. Your focus will be to develop and increase store sales, (in line with overall company strategy) while developing key internal and external relationships.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and direction for the department team of 10+ staff
- Understand strategic plans (covering existing/new products, pricing, industry trends etc.
- Utilise a variety of reports, sales, gross margin, stock, expenses, net profit
- Administration of key financials to ensure the business reaches targets
- Build key stake-holder relationships with staff, internal teams, suppliers etc

**Experience & Qualifications**
- A retail background within a multi-million-dollar business
- Proven track record in leadership, mentoring and supervision of 10+ staff
- Point of sale cash management and department experience
- Take ownership and responsibility for the department's performance
- Business acumen that includes analysis of financials, forecasting, budgeting etc.
