Bis are now currently recruiting for a Workshop Maintenance Administrator to join our maintenance team at our Tomago Office in NSW. Reporting to our Workshop Manager, this role will provide full support for work scope data entry to assist in estimating and executing jobs for the workshop. The Workshop Maintenance Administrator will ensure that all work and tasks are conducted in a safe manner, that work practices minimise risk of hard to Bis employees, plant, equipment, and the environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance administrator that wants to make this role their own. You will be working as part of a small team within a workshop environment, assisting in the smooth and accurate running of the administrative functions within the work-scope of this role.
**Key responsibilities for this role include**:
- Create, maintain, and close out job packs/work scopes for the repairs and maintenance of mobile underground mining equipment.
- Interpret and create work orders, including technical language, labour, and parts requirements.
- Liaise with the workshop team to determine the most effective utilisation of administration resources, considering limitations and workshop/customer requirements.
- Raise purchase orders for monthly service supplies, contractor services, tooling, equipment/servicing of equipment, PPE, paint, parts, and consumables.
- Maintain the workshop asset register.
- Manage waste collection services.
- Identify process deficiencies and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers.
**The successful applicant will possess**:
- Extensive experience as an Administrator, preferably within a Workshop/Maintenance environment.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads.
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Experience using JDEdwards, invoicing, and purchasing experience (highly desirable)
- Underground mining machinery knowledge (advantage)
