We are seeking a Maintenance & Contracts Officer to join our Maintenance Group

- Base salary of up to $87,786 plus Superannuation
**The Challenge**
As the Maintenance & Contracts Officer you will be primarily responsible for the management of maintenance contracts and the delivery of maintenance services and minor works.
**What you’ll do**:
- Work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to manage contracts for the maintenance and delivery of works to Hunter Water's civil assets.
**What you’ll need to be successful**:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Relevant trade qualifications (i.e. building, construction) OR Qualifications in Engineering (Civil or similar) and/or Project Management
- Construction Induction Card
- Class C Drivers licence
- Experience in safely towing loads
- Experience in contract management and administration
- Recent experience (within the past 5 years) working in or with building industry trades
- Experience in effectively managing relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, mediation and interpersonal skills
- Customer focus and ability to effectively navigate difficult customer and/or stakeholder relationships
- A proven capability to be thorough and diligent and promote high work standards
- Continual improvement focus
- Ability to work autonomously as well as be a highly motivated and effective team player
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Qualifications in contract management
- Experience and/or knowledge of building maintenance relating to water and/9r wastewater infrastructure
