**The Role**
Reporting to the Director and Assistant Director, the Stakeholder Engagement / Qualitative Analyst position is responsible for:

- Developing and supporting relationships and related administrative logistics with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and a qualitative analysis framework which will inform JSA’s advice to the Australian Government on targeting migration to workforce needs.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement activities (internal and external) through meetings, forums and focus groups including:
o Contributing to event design, planning and management.

o Coordination of attendees and distribution of meeting materials.

o Maintaining a calendar of events and registers.

o Secretariat duties as required.
- Input to briefings, talking points and presentations to support the attendance of JSA Executive at stakeholder engagement events.
- Maintaining knowledge of best practices and developments in stakeholder engagement and qualitative analysis.

**Skills and Capabilities**
We are seeking individuals with the following skills and capabilities:

- Experience in stakeholder engagement and/or qualitative analysis (such as focus groups and other social research techniques).
- Excellent workplace behaviours, a commitment to delivering high quality work, strong organisational skills, and an ability to autonomously oversee priorities.
- High level oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor written work to support stakeholder engagement with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A good understanding of labour market issues, and an interest in migration is highly desirable.
- Experience in the supervision, mentoring and capability building of junior staff.
- Advanced proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Experience in Qualtrics is desirable.

**The Opportunity**
This position is available to Ongoing Department of Employment and Workplace Relations and/or APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity for a period of 12 months.
