**The Role**
The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) is seeking an APS 6 Administration Officer to join the Personnel Management Team. As an APS 6 Administration Officer, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support within an integrated workforce. The APS 6 Administration Officer will work independently and be accountable to lead a team. You will have the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and liability for the achievement of outcomes by providing detailed administration, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate complex procedural, operational administrative and business support activities, allocate work, and identify priorities and risks to determine appropriate course of action to meet business objectives.
- Identify and interpret relevant legislation, policies, strategies and business and team requirements.
- Build team capability through coaching, providing feedback and developing the quality of the work produced.
- Engage, negotiate and provide guidance and service to stakeholders on complex issues to achieve business outcomes.
**About our Team**
You will be a valued member of the ADFA Personnel Management Team which is a fast-paced and highly responsive team. The team is strongly committed to value-adding to the business and driving strategic efficiencies and innovation.
The team is diverse and responsible for a broad area of critical work, including:
- Workforce Development and Review; Establishment.
- Personnel Operations; Support to activities (field exercises etc).
- Communications Effects.
- Personnel Management; apply/advise personnel policy and supervise document flow internal and external.
- Knowledge Management.
