Showcase your exceptional written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills in this embedded role within a Secretariat supporting an Independent Committee to undertake consultations in rural, regional and remote communities.

12 month non-ongoing contract. Canberra Civic location, with flexibility to work 2 days per week from home. S26 considered. Potential to travel a couple of times during the year to support the Secretariat in the field.

As part of a small, but professional and collegiate Secretariat, the APS 6 Engagement and Communications Officer will lead work on communications.

**Key tasks** will include:

- Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and engagement strategy aligned with the goals and objectives of the review
- Identify key internal and external stakeholders and target audiences for effective communication
- Working collaboratively with the Department's Communications team, generate high-quality content for various communication channels, including media releases, website content, social media posts, and informational materials
- Ensure all content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the objectives of the review
- Ensure all necessary tools and resources for consultations are available
- Assist with set up and logistics support for consultations
- Coordinate efforts with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to communication and engagement

**Key Requirements**:

- Demonstrate experience in providing enabling support, including: managing consultation and engagement processes; stakeholder relationship management; communications and engagement outcomes reporting
- Confidently engage with diverse stakeholders and build meaningful relationships
- Pride themselves on their exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate agility, accountability and attention to detail
- Can manage tasks and competing priorities and anticipate and meet the needs of stakeholders
- Are Australian citizens with ability to obtain a baseline clearance

Any experience working with First Nations and other regional, rural and remote communities will be highly regarded. Knowledge of the telecommunications industry also beneficial, but non essential.
