As they continue to expand their operations and enhance service offerings, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Management Scheduler / Allocator to join the team and play a crucial role in coordinating our operations.
**About the Role**:
As a Traffic Management Scheduler / Allocator, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the deployment of traffic management personnel and equipment to various work sites across Queensland. You will work closely with the operations team, clients, and contractors to ensure that all projects are adequately staffed, resources are efficiently allocated, and work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and project timelines.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Schedule and allocate traffic management crews, vehicles, and equipment to projects based on client requirements, project specifications, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and clients to understand project timelines, scope of work, and staffing needs.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to create daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Monitor and track the progress of projects, adjusting schedules and allocations as needed to address changes in workload, staffing availability, or project scope.
- Communicate effectively with traffic controllers, supervisors, and contractors to provide clear instructions, address scheduling conflicts, and resolve any issues that may arise during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies in all scheduling and allocation activities.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in traffic management, scheduling, logistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of traffic management regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
- Proficiency in computer software and scheduling tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, while also functioning well in a team-oriented environment.
