The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an **Intelligence Analyst** to provide a critical role at Western Plains Correctional Centre.
**About the Business Unit**
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to 1248 people in custody. Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care. Modern amenities include medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities.

**About the Role**
This position reports to the Intelligence Manager, it will contribute to both tactical and strategic intelligence functions and analyse and present intelligence information to management and authorised persons/external agencies as required.
Some of your duties will include:
- Lead the collation, analysis, and controlled dissemination and reporting of intelligence information, specifically in relation to high security prisoners, to authorised parties, in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present intelligence briefings, and make high quality recommendations, in respect of the analysis of intelligence data, including the identification and evaluation of emerging threats, opportunities, patterns and trends relating to the activities of high security prisoners which affect the security and good order of the prison.
- Support prison management, staff and external agencies in the development and planning of intelligence-led prison operations.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering both tactical and strategic intelligence functions in a correctional or law enforcement setting.
- Experience in the use of information management systems is highly desirable.
**Qualifications/requirements**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or thematic knowledge.
- Possession of, or progression towards, an accredited Intelligence Analyst qualification.
