Join a fast-growing Australian business in the FMCG space as their demand planner, joining their team based in Sydney CBD in a newly created, permanent role with opportunity for an immediate start.

**Your new role**

In your new role as demand planner, your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead the monthly forecasting process for the business with key commercial stakeholders and evaluate forecast performance and historical data to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Work with the supply team to formulate a purchase order plan based on the demand forecast and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure prompt delivery of stock.
- Manage inventory levels of all stock, reporting stock availability to internal stakeholders and customers, minimising out of stocks, and working on inventory requirements for promotional events.
- Seeking opportunities for improvement across the supply chain function, reporting findings to management and implementing improved processes and procedures.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced industry such as FMCG, Retail etc.
- Demonstrated understanding of demand forecasting (with a track-record of implementing new processes), supply planning, inventory management, logistics and distribution.
- Strong systems skills, with ERP systems exposure and high-level MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to form strong working relationships with key customers both internal and external.
