**A Day in the Life**:
As a Demand Planner for Medtronic’s Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) business, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of demand forecasting process to meet customer requirements.

Reporting to the ANZ Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager and based in our office in Sydney, the Demand Planner will play an integral role in the ANZ Supply Planning for our various Operating Units. The Demand Planner will work closely with Marketing and Global Planning teams to review sales trends, understand demand drivers, provide input into forecast models and evaluate forecast results with active participation in the Integrated Business Planning process. We are currently in an exciting time as the business is embracing best practice Supply chain principles and this role will be an opportunity to be at the forefront of this.

**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned**:

- In conjunction with the Sales, Marketing and Global Planning teams review demand trends, understand demand drivers, seasonality, provide input into forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
- Challenge Market Intelligence assumptions, provide data driven Insights to increase Forecast Value Add, Forecast Accuracy and Bias.
- Develop and coordinate phase in and phase out (PIPO) plans in collaboration with Marketing and commercial partners to mititage excess and obsolescence risk.
- Facilitate monthly Tactical and Regional Demand Planning Reviews as critical step in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle to generate a consensus demand plan.
- Maintain Master Data Maintenance in Blue Yonder (BY) including Segmentation.
- Partner cross functionally to analyse demand planning and inventory management processes in order to identify potential improvements
- Communicate and collaborate colosely with Global teams to ensure ANZ’s requirements are clearly understood & met, to ensure smooth, timely supply of product.
- Driving process excellence including championing the IBP process, continuous improvement and best practice.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Degree in business or formal tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations Management
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, with an emphasis on Demand/Supply Chain Planning
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of Supply Chain Principles
- Able to demonstrate a background in Supply Chain Analysis
- Experience with advanced supply chain planning systems such as SAP R3, APO SNP
