The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Project Assistant, Families and Communities, to contribute administration and project support to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a range of events, programs, publications, and other projects aimed at engaging and inspiring families and communities.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will contribute to the successful development and delivery of high-quality events and projects for families, young people and communities, including supporting the facilitation of online and on-site programs for children, teenagers, and community groups. Other key responsibilities include:

- Providing high-quality administrative support, including creating and updating files, databases, records, and documents as well as coordinating meetings, agendas and notes, creating and tracking timelines, budgets, and project schedules, and administering invoices.
- Supporting the communication of key programs and projects in liaison with Audience Engagement, Marketing and Media teams including creating timelines and schedules, preparing communications, sourcing images and collating feedback and approvals and assisting with the coordination of documentation for promotional purposes.
- Assisting with preparing and collating presentations, funding and project proposals, reports and other documents, information, and statistics. Utilising administrative software including Microsoft Excel, Planner, PowerPoint and Word; digital software such as Wordfly and WordPress, and databases such as Tessitura

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in developing, coordinating and evaluating innovative, engaging and high-quality programs, projects or audience engagement experiences within a busy environment in an art institution, educational environment or similar organisation. You will be proactive, adaptable, creative and have an audience-focused approach with a passion for engaging with audiences of all ages. You will also be available to work weekends and evenings as required.

A tertiary qualification in education, art or design is well regarded. Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, Tessitura or a similar customer records management system, Adobe DC and Indesign, and e-communication platforms such as Wordfly and WordPress are highly desirable.
