- **Up to $75 p/h + super (7.5 hr a day)**
NSW Government Agency is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer with Government experience to join their team in Sydney CBD. You’ll be responsible for the planning, sourcing, and management of procurement arrangements across general goods, professional services, ICT, and construction categories.
**About the role**:
- Assess stakeholder business needs, compile and source market information, and assist in analysing markets and assessing risk.
- Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs and participate in negotiations.
- Implement and contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, monitor performance and negotiate contract variations through effective supplier relationships.
- Provide advice, information and guidance on procurement related matters to staff across the agency.
- Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks.
- Maintain and update procurement records and review reports on procurement and contract activity.
**Essentials**:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and / or an equivalent in commercial experience
- Proven experience working within the Government
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
