**About the Role**
**Full time - Ongoing**

This role will work within a small team to deliver communications and engagement strategies and their implementation across a diverse portfolio of planning, land use, precincts, building and cladding issues. Flexibility across content areas allows the team to surge and flex to the key priority areas of the Department and Ministers.

**Position Outcomes**
- Identify strategic challenges and opportunities within the Planning, Government land and Housing portfolios and lead the development and delivery of stakeholder communications and engagement activities, programs, and strategies in those areas.
- Produce high-quality communications materials including communications plans, collateral development including key messages, consultation guides, Ministerial briefs and event packs, social posts and other materials as required.
- Manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and engages with stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate communications strategies and engagement activities to support government activities.
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders and communication advisers from other government departments on communications issues.

**KEY SELECTION CRITERIA**

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Desirable**
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in fields related to communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or similar.
