Overview

We are looking for a motivated
Junior to Early Mid-Level SEO Specialist
with a history of successful projects. You would work together with us on a
freelance basis
, one day per week at our Burwood office. This role suits someone with successful SEO experience who enjoys hands-on optimisation and wants to work with some independence while receiving guidance from senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day SEO tasks, including
    on-page optimisation
    , keyword research, meta-data improvements and content updates.
  • Perform regular
    SEO audits
    to identify technical issues and recommend solutions.
  • Implement
    link-building strategies
    and manage outreach to build high-quality backlinks.
  • Monitor and report on keyword rankings, traffic and conversions using tools such as
    Google Analytics, Search Console, SE Ranking
    .
  • Assist with
    technical SEO
    activities (crawl/indexation checks, structured data, site speed improvements) under senior guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with in-house and freelance team members to ensure SEO best practices across all content.

Skills & Experience

  • Around 1–3 years of experience in successful SEO projects (agency or in-house).
  • Working knowledge of keyword research, on-page optimisation, link building and analytics.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SE Ranking).
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and technical SEO preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
