About The Role
Due to business growth, we have a requirement for a new role in our HSE team. Reporting to the General Manager - HSE Systems, Risk & Assurance we are seeking an experienced Manager - Risk. This role will be responsible for leading the Risk function across all WHC sites in NSW and QLD.

We are flexible on location for this role, you can be based in any of our offices in NSW or QLD, with regular travel to our NSW and QLD sites as required.

What You’ll Do
- Ensure the WHC Risk Framework supports the growing organisation and seek to develop the organisations maturity in risk management and decision making
- Lead the maintenance and improvement of the company approach to HSE, operational and business risk management
- Develop the capability approach to risk management across the company and the coaching of risk and control owners in HSE risk verification and assessment
- Directly support improved HSE performance and risk governance through engagement in the planning cycle
- Undertake corporate risk reporting & analytics

What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Engineering, Science, Environmental Science, Applied Science or other suitable qualification (preferred)
- Experience in roles and heavy industry / mining is preferred
- Experience in leading teams across multiple locations
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to engage and influence large and diverse teams at multiple levels in the organisation focusing on customer requirements
