**Legal Secretary (3-Month Contract) - South Yarra**

We are seeking an experienced and reliable **Legal Secretary** to join our 7 employees in our fast-paced South Yarra law firm on a **full-time, fixed-term basis**. This **3-month contract role** is to provide leave cover for our current secretary, working **Monday to Friday** and supporting the **firm principal** directly.

This is an ideal opportunity for a legal secretary who enjoys working in a close-knit environment and can hit the ground running.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Providing day-to-day secretarial support to the principal solicitor
- Drafting and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Managing calendars, client appointments, and scheduling
- Liaising professionally with clients
- Maintaining and organising electronic and physical files
- Occasional overtime may be required - salary reflects this flexibility

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Previous experience in a legal secretary role dealing in common law jurisdiction (experience supporting a principal or sole practitioner is highly regarded)
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Professional communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g. LEAP, or similar)
