The role
Reporting to the Executive Officer, your role will be to provide high level strategic and operational advice to the President, Deputy President and Executive Officer in relation to the operational performance of the Hearings Coordination team.
You will be responsible for the development and oversight of the operational direction of the Hearings Coordination team to ensure that the day to day functioning of the team reflects the strategic framework and direction of the Mental Health Review Tribunal (Tribunal).
The successful person
**You will have demonstrated**:
- Expert knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2016 and Forensic Disability Act 2011, in particular the provisions and requirements relating to the operation and functions of the Tribunal.
- High level ability to lead and mentor staff, drive improvement in administrative processes, and manage resources to deliver quality outcomes within defined time constraints.
- High level interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated high level independent initiative, decision making, and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify issues in advance and exercise sound judgement to respond effectively to complex matters within a limited time frame whilst ensuring satisfactory outcomes
