Hearing Support Coordinator

Job Description:
The Hearing Support Officer will be responsible for providing hearing support services to Tribunal decision makers and parties during proceedings. This includes recording and monitoring of proceedings in accordance with the Recording of Evidence Act 1962, and general administrative tasks including drafting and issuing tribunal orders and facilitating appearances of parties attending proceedings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Support Tribunal decision-makers in the hearing room including coordinating attendance of Tribunal users and managing exhibits during hearings. Effectively and efficiently manage the recording and transcription services for QCAT proceedings. Provide accurate information to registry staff, and Tribunal members in a professional and friendly manner. Undertake accurate computer-based processing using QCAT's file management systems and recording programs, including drafting and issuing tribunal orders. Prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and high-volume environment to enable the provision of effective hearing support services.
