Maxima Tempskill has positions available in the Animal Management department with a Local Council with asap starts.

This is a temporary role with views for extensions, you will be working across a 9 day fortnight with the offer of 38 hours per week.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated skills in corporate computer systems, excellent oral and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with all peoples at all different levels. Someone who also has proven experience and the ability to conduct detailed investigations on a community level, which results and produced positive outcomes. You will also be responsible for consulting and advising on domestic animals in particularly with cats and dogs you will also need the skills to be able to interact with them. A certificate IV or higher in Animal Control, Local Government or Government (investigations) will also be required. An up to date knowledge of Animal Management practices, relevant state legislation and Local laws knowledge is essential.
To also be considered we would require proof or your willingness to obtain a certificate of vaccination against Qfever and a tetanus shot.

Your main responsibilities will include the following.
To investigate dog attacks, respond to enquires and conduct inspections for the control of declared regulated animals. Provide best practice animal investigative services that protect and enhance the amenity and safety of the City. Administration and reporting duties and the responsibility to delivery a high quality of customer service.
