**About this Opportunity**

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic leader to join our thriving and successful Transport team based in South Brisbane/ Scoresby. This is a great opportunity for a supply chain and logistics professional looking to develop their career.

Lactalis Australia has a “National Transport Planning & Optimization Manager” role to fill. Within a close knit team, this challenging and strategic role will require you to work autonomously to ensure our business partners are operating at best practice and create mutually beneficial outcomes.

The role will also require you to work closely with internal stakeholders in logistics operations, sales and planning. In a rapidly changing marketplace, you will leverage previous FMCG logistics and commercial experience to develop innovative and proactive planning, Transport optimization opportunities, continuous improvement ideation and directives, financial cost control for our transport team. You will manage relationships and be accountable for a significant part of the company’s future plans.

Ideally you will have:

- Proven experience in logistics / transport operations - or similar
- Highly developed analytical skills - essential
- Proven project/ change management ability
- Experience managing transport planning and forecasting
- Experience in Transport cost management, forecasting and budgeting.
- Strong influencing and leadership skills
- Highly developed commercial acumen and negotiation skills - essential
- Understanding of basic warehouse, transport operations and sales in FMCG
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Demonstrable use of continuous improvement methodology to re-engineer operating processes
