**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, this role is responsible for inventory management, purchasing and logistics as well as maintaining superior relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support and continuously improve purchasing, scheduling and supply chain processes
- Delivering predictable and reliable day to day supply chain services including activities associated with inventory, stock takes, purchasing, materials handling & packaging/ warehousing / transportation
- Maintain superior relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders & transport companies to ensure timely delivery
- Manage day to day administrative tasks such as following up quotes, processing invoices, receipting of goods inwards, updating documentation and updating inventory management system
- Analysis and reporting of supplier performance, supply chain risks and procurement activities to identify opportunities for improvement and savings

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a multi-site distribution centres and logistics management role
- Strong understanding of logistics and freight operations’ processes and systems
- Commercial and financial acumen with a full understanding of the impact of failure in terms of business cost, production schedules and customer order fulfilment
- Strong proven leadership skills as well as customer order fulfilment
- Must be highly analytical with a financial acumen
- Advanced Excel skills as well as strong IT systems knowledge
- Strong planning and organisational skills as well as high attention to detail.
