**About The Role**
This well known international corporation is in search of a skilled and driven Health and Safety professional to become a member of their team. In this role, the EHS Business Partner will collaborate closely with the business to establish a robust health and safety culture and fulfill all health and safety obligations.
**About the Role**
In order to excel in this position, you should possess a strong background in working with EHS legislation, ISO standards, and best practices in manufacturing and distribution centers.. As an EHS Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the site leadership teams in the manufacturing plants and distribution centers within your assigned portfolio
- Providing clear guidance and support for Managers, Supervisors, and Employees with respect to their safety responsibilities and accountabilities, and aiding them in establishing and maintaining a strong health and safety culture
- Creating and implementing EHS standards and best practices, ensuring successful integration of risk mitigation practices
- Conducting regular site inspections, HSE system audits, and maintaining regulatory and compliance schedules and registers, including site and legislative training and license compliances
- Leading injury and incident investigations in a timely fashion, and ensuring proper and thorough reporting and monitoring of any recommended corrective actions
- Developing and delivering HSE-specific training programs to site management and employees
**About Success**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Possess essential tertiary qualifications or equivalent in work health and safety or occupational hygiene
- Demonstrate prior experience in handling, storing, and transporting dangerous goods
- Hold an incident investigation qualification such as ICAM or TapRoot
- Have prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry
- Ideally hold Internal Auditor qualifications (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001)
- Be willing to travel to other sites within your portfolio as required
- Hold an unrestricted driver's license
- Be encouraged to enhance your skills and knowledge, and pursue further education in your field of work to achieve sustained excellence.
- Ideally, having knowledge and experience with workers' compensation and return-to-work legislation, and being able to support employees in returning to work quickly and assisting site leaders with their responsibilities in this area.
