Gippsland Institute of Technology is an emerging education provider dedicated to delivering high-quality vocational and higher education experiences in Victoria’s Gippsland and surrounding regions. We are seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Office Manager to support our Pakenham campus and help build operational excellence as we grow.

As the Office Manager, you will organise and control the functions and resources of the office, including administrative systems and office personnel, in line with best practice. You will contribute to the planning and review of office services, set priorities, manage resources, and ensure smooth daily operations.

You will report to the CEO.

**KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Contribute to the planning, review and improvement of office services, setting priorities and service standards
- Allocate human resources, office space, equipment and other resources optimally
- Assign work tasks to staff, monitor work performance and ensure accountability
- Manage and maintain accurate records, accounts, and reporting for the office
- Liaise with external professionals, stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to coordinate office business and resolve issues
- Ensure office equipment, supplies and facilities are maintained and replenished
- Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety regulations
- Ensure work practices comply with relevant government legislation, organisational policies and procedures
- Coordinate personnel-related activities: recruitment, promotions, performance management, training, supervision, etc.

You may also be asked to take on additional related tasks as needed to support the campus operations.

**SELECTION CRITERIA / MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS**
- **Qualifications**: Associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma
- **Experience**: 1-2 years in a similar office management or administrative leadership role
- Strong organisational, time-management and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead, supervise and motivate staff
- Proficiency in common office software (e.g. MS Office, database systems)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, records, compliance and administrative systems
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety practices in an office environment
- Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and service providers
- Strong attention to detail, initiative and a problem-solving mindset
