**The Role**
We have vacancies at both the APS 5 and APS 6 level. A role will be offered at a level appropriate to the applicants work experience and study background. A merit pool will be created to fill additional vacancies that arise over the next 12 months.
**About our Team**
DIO’s Behavioural Analysis team supports Defence and broader government decision-makers through the provision of strategic human factors intelligence assessments. We use behavioural, cultural and group analysis methodologies to support Defence and other government departments’ understanding of the cultural contexts in which they would be operating and engaging.
DIO's Behavioural Analysis team offers opportunities to work closely with DIO country desk analysts and external stakeholders, including allied counterparts to optimise the team’s ability to address customer priorities.
They will be innovative and creative to ensure that specialist knowledge is applied to work in the most effective, outcomes focused way. They will be prepared to lead tasks and be accountable to set work priorities and manage workflows. They are expected to be capable of building team capability and develop the quality of work undertaken by others within a work unit.
They will be comfortable and confident with a considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex or sensitive issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
