**About the Role;***

We seek a dynamic and experienced **National Workers’ Compensation Manager** **to lead the development and execution of strategies that minimize claims costs and optimize recovery outcomes for injured or ill employees. Reporting to the National Enablement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in injury management, recovery at work, and well-being initiatives with a leading global insurance agency.

**Key Responsibilities***

**Strategic Leadership**:

- Develop and execute strategies to support employees in achieving maximum medical recovery while minimizing claims costs.
- Collaborate with business managers to drive effective injury prevention and recovery initiatives.

**Claims Management**:

- Lead the management of complex claims, engaging insurers, agents, medical practitioners, and rehabilitation providers.
- Oversee workers' compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Conduct case reviews and provide expert advice on injury management and ER/Workers’ Compensation overlaps.

**Stakeholder Relationships**:

- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring efficient collaboration with statutory bodies, insurers, and service providers.
- Analyse performance, industry developments, and legislative changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

**Training and Development**:

- Deliver training programs to build organisational capability in injury prevention and recovery.
- Maintain a culture of continuous learning, ensuring currency with Return to Work programs and legislation.

**Qualifications and Experience***

**Essential**:

- Proven experience in Workers’ Compensation Claims management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated results in improving workers’ compensation performance.
- Strong ability to manage complex claims and build effective recovery strategies.

**Desirable**:

- Allied health qualifications with client service or operations-based experience.

**Key Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Deep knowledge of workers’ compensation legislation and claims management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Claims Management Systems.
