As an Assistant Departmental Liaison Officer, you will support the Departmental Liaison Officer in facilitating the effective exchange of information and advice between the Deputy Premier's Office, the department and other government agencies.

**You will**:

- Utilise expert knowledge of a record management system to research, analyse, retrieve and track electronic documents and assist with any follow up actions in response to situations requiring a rapid turnaround of information
- Assist in the resolution of complex enquiries and confidential and sensitive issues and be proactive in redirecting enquiries to appropriate officers within the department and across government
- Assist with the identification of emerging issues based on an analysis of incoming correspondence to ensure issues are proactively addressed and referred to the Departmental Liaison Officer for further action
- Support the coordination and review of written and verbal advice to staff in the Office of the Deputy Premier in relation to portfolio matters, consistent with government policy and departmental objectives and procedures
- Provide logístical support including but not limited to arranging meetings between ministerial staff and departmental executives or external stakeholders
- Provide timely and professional advice on work systems, procedures and guidelines to streamline work processes.
- Provide support to the Departmental Liaison Officer position when required.
