As the Department Liaison Officer, Departmental Liaison Office and Executive Services Unit, you will be responsible for:

- Coordinating authoritative, accurate and timely advice to the Minister, Chief of Staff and policy advisors on complex portfolio issues and departmental procedures and processes
- Providing quality liaison support to the Minister, Director-General, Deputy Directors-General, Assistant Directors-General, Directors and other senior managers, ensuring that they are provided with accurate and timely information to enable them to deal with current and emerging issues that are impacting on the portfolio
- Developing strategies to proactively improve departmental processes and approaches to meet the requirements of the Minister's Office and support compliance with departmental policies, procedures and guidelines
- Coordinating the investigation and resolution of Members of Parliament (MP) and general public complaints and enquiries to ensure satisfactory and timely responses are delivered
- Coordinating briefings for Minister's visits to regional areas and other meetings
- Managing the direction and timely delivery of correspondence and briefing requests including reallocations and approvals of extensions
- Dealing sensitively and appropriately with clients and members of the public on confidential and contentious issues
- Building and maintaining an effective network of officers who may be called upon to compile, at short notice, responses for the Minister's office
- Building and maintaining effective networks with the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to ensure timely and quality responses to requests and correspondence addressed to the Premier
