The role
Reporting to the Senior Departmental Liaison Officer, Ministerial and Executive Support Services you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the organisations quality standards, occupational health and safety policies, procedures and programs. You will also be responsible for resolving all complaints and enquiries by assessing and investigating each issue.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining high quality documentation to ensure detailed records of discussions and actions are maintained and meet requirements of record management, FOI, privacy and other related acts within the organisation.
The successful person
To be successful in the role, you will have a high level understanding of Queensland Health's operations, policies, services and structures to enable the rapid identification of areas within the organisation. You will have a strong ability to develop sensitive and practical responses to complex issues and have strong written, analytical and research skills. In addition to this, you will have highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels and ability to negotiate, build relationships and manage sensitive matters within a large decentralised health service organisation influence stakeholders.

The Ministerial and Executive Services Unit (MESU) coordinates the flow of information across Queensland Health and externally to stakeholders in support of the Minister and Director-General. MESU also manages critical and emergent issues, incoming health inquiries and correspondence and customer feedback.
The Office of the Director-General is responsible for supporting the Director-General to coordinate the activities of the department at the highest level and ensure coordinated, comprehensive and accurate advice is available to the Director-General and Minister in relation to a range of executive government functions.
