Bond University is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to take on the role of Manager - Work Health & Safety. As the sole safety specialist at the University, this pivotal position reports directly to the Chief People Officer and plays a central role in championing a culture of safety across the entire campus.

**About the person**:
The ideal applicant will have:

- An undergraduate degree with significant study in WHS, postgraduate qualifications in specialist Work Health and Safety matters; and/or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, professional accreditation and qualifications.
- Current Building Fire Safety Advisor, Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator and Advanced First Aid qualifications.
- Proven leadership and supervision skills, with high-level negotiation abilities and problem-solving expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex WHS and workers compensation problems and the ability to develop policies in WHS and workers compensation.
- Highly effective written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to committees and facilitating training sessions.
- A breadth of industry experience will be highly regarded as well as experience working in a tertiary environment.

**Salary details**:
The commencing salary for this role is $109,525.60 per annum plus 12% superannuation (negotiable commensurate with skills and experience).
