
People and Culture Advisor

As a People and Culture Advisor, you’ll play a lead role supporting our managers, in the entire people life cycle, from recruitment, supporting our people during their time here at LLW, as well as those who decide to leave.
You will be part of a small but incredibly impactful People and Culture team that is well established and respected by our internal stakeholders, and who are deeply committed to supporting our employees and our people leaders.
You’ll know that you’re leaving a positive wake when:
- You are providing respected advice and support to employees with their HR queries.
- You are providing expert guidance and support to managers in their day-to-day people management practices, processes, and procedures.
- You are developing, implementing, and improving initiatives across the employee life cycle, with a particular focus on the onboarding and outboarding process.
- You are ensuring LLW’s compliance with all probity requirements for new employees, such as Criminal History checks, Working with Children checks, and other Professional Registrations.
- You produce reports on our people, such as our monthly Board Reports and quarterly People Metric reports for the Executive Managers which help inform decisions for our future organisation.
- You maintain the quality of our data in our HRIS, so that our employee records are well maintained and accurate.
- You support the broader HR team to deliver workforce management, management capability, and organizational development initiatives.
This is a full-time, maximum term contract position for 6 months, based in Spring Hill Brisbane CBD.
The base remuneration for this role is in the range of approximately $85K - $87K, on top of this there is full salary packaging, superannuation, leave loading (17.5%), and 5 additional days of paid well-being Leave.
**What you’ll bring**
To succeed in this role, there are some essentials you’ll need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field are required.
- Several years’ experience in a generalist HR capacity, providing advice and support to people leaders in a medium to large organization, preferably in a not-for-profit organization.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to be solution-focused and hands-on in every aspect of the position.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to interact and engage with internal and external stakeholders and to gain credibility with senior management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe suite.
- Strong attention to detail and can manage multiple tasks with a strong drive to deliver.
We’d also love you to have:
- Experience in generating People reports and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Proficient in HR systems (preferably UKG Ready)
