Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for safety, compliance, and people? This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the HR and Work Health & Safety function within a well establish growing community services organisation that genuinely lives its values.

Working closely with the Executive Manager and senior leadership team, you'll build and refine HR and WHS frameworks, blending strategic thinking with day-to-day, hands-on support. You'll play a key role in embedding culturally safe, trauma-informed practices and ensuring compliance across HR, governance, and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

Work Health & Safety (WHS):

  • Maintain and implement WHS systems, risk registers & safety frameworks
  • Conduct site visits, incident investigations & safety audits
  • Support RTW & WorkCover coordination
  • Deliver WHS training, safety briefings & proactive risk mitigation
  • Work closely with external regulators (FWO, WorkSafe, NDIS, etc.)

People & Culture (HR):

  • Provide HR generalist support across 500 employees
  • ER/IR advice, conflict resolution, investigations, and performance matters
  • Support workforce planning, onboarding, induction & capability uplift
  • Interpretation of SCHADS Award & other relevant awards
  • Partner with leaders to embed values-aligned, culturally safe practices
About You
  • Qualification in WHS, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Background in Community Services, Disability, or Aged Care is desirable.
  • Solid experience in a generalist HR and/or WHS advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work, WHS legislation, and compliance.
  • Experience working with or interpreting the SCHADS Award, and Employment Hero
  • Ability to develop frameworks, policies, and systems in a growing organisation.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, and Police Check.
