We are seeking an experienced customer service representative to provide quality service in a fast-paced contact centre and face-to-face environment. The role involves engaging with our community across various channels, efficiently navigating multiple systems, and excelling at multitasking and managing priorities to deliver positive experience for our customers.
As a Customer Service Officer, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to Darebin’s diverse community by supporting customers in accessing our wide range of services. We are committed to high-quality service delivery, so a minimum of three years' experience in a fast-paced call centre or customer service environment is essential. This position also involves cash handling, making experience in this area a required skill.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the ability to meet the following key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter detailed, accurate customer requests into Councils CRM system
- Accurately process payments into Councils system
- Engage with the community in a respectful and approachable manner to enhance Council’s reputation and community trust
- Work alongside other Council departments to achieve positive outcomes for customers
- Play an active role in continuous improvement by sharing customer feedback to assist in refining Council services and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, patience and a community minded attitude
- Skilled in addressing and resolving customer enquiries or concerns with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism
