**About the role**
As Corporate Communications Officer, you'll be at the heart of the organisation's communication efforts, ensuring everyone is informed and connected.
You will be involved in monitoring and gathering information about internal and external news and developments and then creating and sharing engaging content that keeps colleagues informed and motivated.
Collaborating with many departments and teams to support various communication initiatives, the internal communications strategies will be aligned to enhance employee engagement and awareness. This role is crucial for fostering a sense of community and transparency within council.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the development of communication strategies and delivering content that aligns to the strategy
- Provide specialist advice on matters relating to communication techniques and methods to deliver excellent internal communications
- Facilitate an internal communications working group to bring together approved internal alignment to what is shared across the business
- Be creative and transform content to amazing stories of interest
- Provide technical support to other parts of the business on platforms and processes used to communicate

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of communications principles and concepts gained in a government or similarly regulated context
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing fit for purpose communications relevant to stakeholders of organisational projects
- Highly effective Interpersonal, collaboration, communication, presentation and facilitation skills across a broad range of stakeholders including the demonstrated ability to coach effectively and resolve conflict
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver creative and innovative solutions to improve organisational communication
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, work autonomously, and collaborate with other specialists using initiative and working to tight timelines
- Specialist knowledge and understanding of communications principles and concepts

This is a permanent fulltime position, Level 7 with salary commencing at $110,575 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
