About the role

As a Building Service Manager, you will have overarching responsibility for the management, performance and compliance of the Processing Centre and Building Services and Adminsitration Team, for the effective operation and maintenance of the building, plant and equipment. You will utilise your expertise to problem solve and advise on complex facility related issues making timely decisions to support the efficient, sufficient and timely provision of safe blood and blood products within a service excellence culture.

**Responsibilities will include however not be limited to**:
Supervise all facets of manufacturing management of the Building Engineering Information Management System associated assets, their servicing and maintenance and ensuring they are in accordance with benchmarks and predetermined requirements.

Maintaining related contracts, servicing, contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with current best practice, relevant Australian Standards, legislation, regulatory compliance and Lifeblood policies.

Execution of Building Services projects, change plans as required, upgrades to existing facilities, plant and equipment including management and reconciliation of all budgetary aspects and funding requests.

Position will be required to undertake scheduled On-Call duties for Building Services and environmental functions.

High levels of expertise in the management of technical and complex facilities, proactively maintaining knowledge of trends and best practice

Good team leadership experience with the ability to motivate and direct work to effectively deliver operational outcomes

Demonstrated experience in a similar environment with an acute understanding of the regulatory requirements associated with cGMP

An in-depth understanding of the requirements of AS3864

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, contractors and team members

Relevant Qualification in Property/Facility Management, Engineering or related field is highly desirable

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and is based on site at our Melbourne Processing Centre in West Melbourne.
