**The Role**
**APS 6 Governance Officer** is ideal for someone who enjoys working on a diverse range of tasks, can independently manage conflicting priorities, and are genuinely willing to assist others. **APS 6 Policy Officer** is ideal for someone who is a flexible self-starter who enjoys a diverse range of work. Has strong written and verbal communication skills with some project and stakeholder management experience. Work collaboratively, delivering written material using a range of inputs. Interpret legislation and develop policy, provide appropriate advice and recommendations to support ADF remuneration initiatives.
**APS 5 Human Resources Officer** is ideal for someone who is outcomes focused with knowledge and experience in HR, project/program management or policy. Understand and interpret HR-related issues, legislation and ADF employment policy frameworks.
You will:
- Develop and assist in the development of ADF salary and allowances submissions.
- Be part of an integrated workforce designed to assist all activities and share knowledge.
- Use legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence mission and policy requirements.
- Engage in complex problem solving and issues management and perform detailed or sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence.
- Actively managing key stakeholder relationships and will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of their work area.
**About our Team**
DMR provides ADF remuneration salary and allowances reforms to enhance recruitment and retention. This requires convincing submissions that are agreed by stakeholders, capability owners and are suitable for DFRT consideration.
ADF workforce remuneration changes are a collaborative effort for which you will have significant authority and responsibility to undertake.
DMR coordinates and implements new workforce designs and assists in developing new highly technical remuneration areas such as cyber, submarines, aviation, medical and logistics.
Possess excellent friendly stakeholder engagement skills. Produce quality written and verbal communications. Contribute to policy analysis and develop targeted proposals, advice and methods to support Defence remuneration needs.
The ability to achieve timely outcomes. A growth mindset with a desire to learn, develop knowledge and contribute to a collaborative environment with all team members. The team environment provides opportunities for continuous workplace and individual improvements and responds positively to change. The ability to think strategically and evaluate information from a range of sources. Desirable to have some experience in travel, financial management and PMKeyS and Defence One skills.
